Dario Franceschini
BIOGRAFIA
Dario Franceschini, nato a Ferrara il 19 ottobre 1958, è avvocato, scrittore e politico.
È stato un membro di spicco del Partito popolare italiano (PPI), della "Margherita" e del Partito Democratico, per il quale ha ricoperto il ruolo di Segretario Nazionale, Capogruppo alla Camera dei Deputati e Capo delegazione nel Governo Conte II.
Ha ricoperto diversi incarichi governativi: è stato Sottosegretario di Stato alla Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri dal 1999 al 2001; Ministro delle relazioni con il Parlamento e il Coordinamento dell’attività di Governo dal 2013 al 2014; Ministro dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali e del Turismo dal 2014 al 2018 e dal 5 settembre 2019 al 12 febbraio 2021. Viene nuovamente confermato alla guida del Ministero lo stesso 12 febbraio, assumendo, a seguito del cambio di denominazione del dicastero, il titolo di Ministro della Cultura. La durata del suo incarico lo rende il Ministro della Cultura più longevo della storia della Repubblica italiana.
Dario Franceschini (born, 19 October 1958) is an Italian lawyer, writer, and politician.
He was a prominent member of the Italian People's Party (PPI), of the "Margherita" Party and is active in the Democratic Party, for which he held the role of National Secretary, Group Leader in the Chamber of Deputies and currently Head of Delegation in the second Conte Government.
He has held various government positions: he was Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers from 1999 to 2001; Minister of Relations with Parliament and the Coordination of Government Activities from 2013 to 2014; Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism from 2014 to 2018; and again Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism from 5 September 2019 to 12 February 2021. He was confirmed again as the head of the Ministry on 12 February 2021, assuming the title of Minister of Culture, reflecting the change of name of the department. The length of his time in this office makes him the logesdt – serving Minister of Culture in the history of the Italian Republic.
