Serials information
To update your serials information in SALSER, please follow these instructions
- Prepare a file of your serials records in the format you have previously supplied. View the preferred list of bibliographic fields for a SALSER serials record.
- Transfer this file (e.g., by FTP) to the Edinburgh host ftp.salser.edina.ac.uk and give the file the agreed filename.
- Use the login and password you received when you first registered with EDINA.
- Put your file in the home directory - i.e., the directory you reach immediately when you logon.
SALSER will be updated automatically by the following day. View latest update dates for SALSER serials files. The date given is the day after the file was received.
If there are any problems, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the SALSER team.

We link through to the websites of contributing libraries for details about opening hours, addresses and access to their catalogues. Please inform the SALSER team of the appropriate URL. You can add a link back to the SALSER homepage from your libraries page.
