Summary

A project to produce Linked Open Data output from several different EDINA projects and services.

During our period of Linked Data Focus we worked with several members of both the geographic and bibliographic/multimedia development teams in EDINA. During three short "sprints" during we produce Linked Open Data output from several different EDINA projects and services. During each sprint we held a workshop where we presented and discussed the work in progress, and invited people from outside EDINA to show off their related work.

The development work supporedt the Resource Discovery Task Force and followed its guidelines for metadata.

After the development phase we produced an "infokit" documenting the potential re-use value for other institutions.

Project Deliverables

• Linked Open Data from at least 3 EDINA projects/services, including Open Access Repository Junction, the Carmichael Watson collection, and the Datashare repository.
• Case studies illustrating how other collections can benefit from the same techniques.
