Duration

June to December 2012

Summary

The objective of the REDIC (Research Equipment Database In CERIF) project was to scope and build a prototype system and infrastructure that would make possible an authoritative registry of information about research equipment and facilities (nationally or internationally) available in the CERIF format for use by researchers in the course of their work.

The Research Equipment Database in CERIF (REDIC) project was a JISC-funded rapid innovation project running from 1 June 2012 to 30 November 2012, hosted at The University of Edinburgh Digital Library and with development support from EDINA.

Project Deliverables

The prototype register is available in the CERIF format to enable it to be readily incorporated or referenced in local databases such as Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) or Institutional Repositories (IR).
