New libraries, videos and case studies for SUNCAT

A number of new libraries have been added to SUNCAT in the last few months:

This brings the total number of contributing libraries to 82, with more libraries to be added throughout the remainder of 2011 and 2012. See the full list of the 82 libraries. For more information about the new libraries see the SUNCAT blog.

In addition two new videos are available on the SUNCAT website and on the EDINA YouTube channel.

The first is a short introduction to the service by one of the SUNCAT team, with information on what SUNCAT does and what it contains.
The second is a demonstration of SUNCAT, highlighting the search options and also how to access journal articles and tables of contents via the service.

We hope both of these productions will help you introduce and promote SUNCAT to your users.

Further, there are now three case studies published on the SUNCAT website. These highlight the impact that SUNCAT has had on the work of three different organisations:

UK Research Reserve (UKRR): SUNCAT used to identify duplication of journal holdings, so enabling libraries to free up space
North West Libraries Interlending Partnership: SUNCAT used to locate journal articles, hence increasing the supply rates of inter-library loan requests
Loughborough University Library: SUNCAT provided bibliographic data for upgrading journal records, therefore improving resource discovery
