Geodoc 2012/2013

EDINA undertook a survey of Geodoc users from November 2012 to February 2013. The survey was accessed from a popup when users arrived at the GoGeo homepage and the link was emailed to a group of know users.

5 responses were received, a summary of which is presented here:

Uptake by discipline, role and purpose

Discipline

Respondents selected their discipline from the list shown below; they could select more than one discipline and could specify “Other”. The disciplines specified in under other were put into one of the other disciplines where appropriate.

The majority of respondents were in the Geography and Environment(4) and Architecture and planning (3), one also selected Engineering (1).

Purpose

Two of the five respondents used Geodoc to create metadata for teaching; four used it for teaching and learning purposes.

When users were asked if they would recommend Geodoc, four agreed and 1 neither agreed nor disagreed; no one disagreed.
